Onam Celebration at LORDS International Residential School – 30th August 2025 The festival of Onam was celebrated with grandeur and joy at LORDS. The programme was graced by Ms. Prajna Krishnan, Lecturer, Dr. M V Shetty Institute of Professional Science & Management, Vidyanagar, Mangalore, as the Chief Guest.
The celebration came alive with the vibrant Onam Pookalam, the rhythmic Chende with the umbrella procession welcoming the Guest, the graceful Thiruvathira, and the colourful Kathakali. Our teachers added extra charm to the occasion with a mesmerizing Thiruvathira Onam Dance.
In her address, the Chief Guest highlighted the cultural significance of Onam, reminding us of the values of unity, peace, and prosperity that the festival represents. These celebrations not only foster a sense of community and creativity but also help us embrace the values of togetherness and cultural awareness.
